Up to August 29, the U.S. commercial crude oil inventories fell 1.9 million barrels to 3.039 million barrels, while analysts had expected to increase 500,000 barrels.
At the same time, gasoline inventories fell 1 million barrels to 1.944 million barrels. The drop is less than analysts had expected a 1.8 million barrels. China’s Ministry of Commerce said that in August the average price of domestic sulphuric acid ring down 4.5 percent. As demand and cost pressure prices downward, prices of sulfuric acid is still expected to down a certain space.
August average price of domestic sulphuric acid is 1,278 yuan / ton, fell 4.5 percent in July, but up 65.97 percent from a year earlier, prices remained high.
Analysts point out that sulphuric acid market’s decline of demand and prices show that dealers’ strong psychology of wait and see. Sulphuric acid price is expected to continue to drop.
According to Bayer Polyurethane Expo 2008 international press conference, Bayer is currently planning to build the company’s first zero-emission building in India. The building will start in May of this year.
According to reports, the building used all the energy-saving materials which are produce by Bayer, including Rigid Polyurethane Foam insulation technology, solar energy, photovoltaic cells. The application of these materials, will reduce energy consumption by 70%.
According to Bayer’s estimation, in the per kg of polyurethane which are used in construction industry. The buildings can reduce as much as 755 kilograms of carbon dioxide emissions in the average life cycle. While Bayer’s Baysystems rigid polyurethane foam can provide excellent insulation properties. So it is need less energy to control structure’s internal temperature, achieving a significant reduction of energy consumption target.
